Watch your words, they turn into thoughts

These are not my lines. I came across these lines accidentally on one website and found them worth sharing.

workloadI just left the office after my extensive hours of working. It is pretty late to travel. I haven’t even got a company. My mind is exhausted after taking thousands of decisions today. Many calls were received and put through my mobile. People sitting in different corners of the world tried to work together by handling various limbs of the project to make it desirably functional.
Well…what project I am talking about? Who had set the impossible deadline so prematurely and then disappeared from the scene to leave behind colleagues with Herculean task?
How come such practices can be allowed? To avoid the breach of contract every team member has to sacrifice his precious moments with family, friends, loved ones and spend extra hours on working.
Nobody will consider you as you because in the process you become a machine and act like a machine. You tend to consider others like machines. Your boss turns into dictator. The situation is similar to the one you see in a circus where a ring master controls every move of a tiger on a tune of his whip and poor tiger has no where to run but to follow the BOSS.
Aren’t we handling more pressure than we supposed to? Just because we are able to do it that doesn’t mean we should be doing it everyday. Are we not getting stretched like elastic? I hate this kind of work culture. Challenges are fun and result in exploring more of you.  But we shouldn’t overdo and should stop and stand against those who don’t see humans as humans but the machines.

A little knowledge about body language can make life a bit easier. Body language reflects inner thoughts of a person. The only thing is an opposite person should be able to read it. Well it doesn’t require lot of hard work but only the skill of observation. Everyday we come across lots of people and lots of thoughts. Just paying attention to their body languages during conversation and then quick mental association of the same with a topic of conversation will help you understand more about a person or topic than just spoken words.

Here are some noted observations.

A person resting chin on his hand while listening suggests that he is interested in your speech and carefully listening to it. A person who folds his arms while talking indicates defensive mannerism against the subject. If you find someone talking with you but not looking into your eyes, you can easily surmise a lack of confidence in that person.  A person who finds a support of an object like table while talking bears lameness about the topic in his mind. A restlessness of mind can be deduced from the act of playing with a pencil or similar object while talking. 

If you ponder over the above observations you will definitely find some logic behind the actions and the deductions.

Get yourself into the habit of checking body language and not just listening to words. Body language adds more meaning to words making conversations more meaningful.

 

 

 

 

Panipuri, my love!!!
I am eternally thankful to the person who invented Panipuri.
Put it inside your mouth. Then close your eyes and experience one of the clever inventions of human beings.
Here I have decided to share with you my version of panipuri recipe which not only will win your vote but will help you to win praise from others.
Spicy Chutney:
Take a bunch of mint (pudina). Wash it and chop it finely. Chop a few green chillies (4-5). Take a piece of ginger (one inch) and a few petals of garlic (6-7). Mix everything together. Then add powders of corriander seeds and cumin seeds. Add water to blend everything in a mixer to make a fine paste. Now add black salt in it. If you haven’t got it, use normal salt. To make it diluted add sufficient quantity of water and ice cubes.
Sweet chutney:
Soak tamarind (half bowl) in water for half an hour. Then remove the seeds and hard parts of tamarind and blend it in a mixer to make a fine paste. In a pot put 4-5 spoons of water and turn the gas on. Add grated jaggery (half bowl) to it. Let it melt. Keep the flame on minimum to prevent the jiggery from burning. Now add the paste of tamarind in it. Add cumin seed power, coriander seed powder and black salt to it. Turn off the burner.
Ragda:
Get salted bundi from market. Soak it in little quantity of water for 10 minutes. Add salt and boiled moong in it.
Panipuri packets are easily available in markets. Get a packet of 50 puris . Put radga, sweet chutney and spicy chutney in each puri and enjoy the awesomeness!!

Troposphere is the layer of atmosphere that spreads till the height of 15 km from the surface of the earth. It is dense with the presence of air molecules and protects us from the UV rays.

 Do you know that a commercial aircraft flies at the height of 9km from the surface of the earth? A military aircraft flies at the height of 15km or even more. The layer of atmosphere just above the troposphere is called Stratosphere. Atmosphere become thinner as one goes away from the surface of the air. So in Stratosphere very less air molecules are present. But they are enough to balance an aircraft.

Ionosphere starts from the height of 50km from the surface of the earth. In the lower levels of this layer, molecules, electrons, ions are moving at a high velocity because of the magnetic field of the earth.

If a satellite is launched here, because of its friction with electrons and ions moving with great velocity, it will slowdown, get heated and will get pushed down to the lower layers of atmosphere where it will get burnt like meteorites.

To avoid this problem a satellite should be placed in an orbit at the height of 400-500km from the surface of the earth.

But it is not an easy job.

Temperature of troposphere is more because of the heat reflecting from the earth surface. To avoid adverse effects of heat a rocket (satellite launcher) has to cover the distance of troposphere quickly. The shortest way through troposphere is straight up. Hence rocket flies in straight upward direction.

In a multi-staged rocket, fuel is stored in various shells. As the fuel in a shell is over, the empty shell is dropped down and the fuel in the next shell starts burning. This reduces the weight of rocket helping it to achieve the desirable speed for launching a satellite.

Once the rocket is out of troposphere it starts slanting slowly. This is called ‘pitching’. At time of launching it is almost parallel to the surface of the earth. Now the satellite is projected in a certain direction at a certain velocity with help of system control. At this time the speed of rocket is about 7.5 km per second.

Now our satellite is supposed to orbit around the earth. How this is achieved?

A ball thrown in an upward direction will come down. A flying gas balloon will also come down eventually. An aircraft also has to come down to the earth before it runs out of fuel.

It sounds like a difficult job, doesn’t it?

According to Newton’s law of motion any object will remain to be in its state of rest or of continuous motion unless and until acted upon by external unbalanced force.

In other words a ball thrown in an upward direction will go up and up if it wasn’t pulled down by gravitation force (external force).

Our satellite is also pulled down by gravitation force. But there is another force called centrifugal force which being equal to gravitational force and being in opposite direction nullifies the gravitational force. And satellite is set in an orbit.

The following example will make it clear.

 When your car takes a sharp turn at a corner, you must have felt a force pushing your car away from the arc of the turn. This force is nothing but centrifugal force. You try hard to keep your car on the arc by pulling it inside. When the force pushing your car outwards and the force pulling your car inwards become equal they nullify each other and the car travels in an arc.

The logic is simple but lots of calculations and science is required in making the mission successful.

Now a satellite will revolve around the earth, just like the moon rotates around our earth.
